Give me Aunt Bessies anyday!!! *The Product* Asda describe their own branded Jam Roly Poly as being moist, suet sponge pudding with a fruity strawberry and raspberry jam filling. It is also vegetarian! *Packaging* The Roly Poly is housed in a black plastic tray (check local recylcing) with a film lid (for some reason mine did not have one?). The tray is then placed in a cardboard box (widely recycled). The front of the box has the company and product name, a description, it is pricemarked and has little boxes stating there are no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fats contained within. When it comes to puddings and desserts I really do have a bit of a sweet tooth for them lately. I have always tried to steer clear of them to try to keep my figure in check but lately I have been unable to stop myself from grabbing what I think of as old fashioned school type of puddings and sitting eating the whole thing covered in a can of custard much to my mates disgust who I am staying with at the moment as she can't get a look in lol. Asda at the moment have a lot of their own stores frozen puddings at a pound a time and I have had much joy trying to work my way around that said freezer and this was one of my most recent adventures!
