“ Brand: Asda / Type: Snacks „
This is Asda's take on Skips and they are quite nice. I have to say i'm quite impressed with the new additions to Asda's Crisps recently. They brought in flavours like this in my local shop about a year ago.
Sold in an 8 pack which normally costs about £1.35, or 3 packs from a range of Asda and Walkers Crisps for £3.
The bag is a pink colour and has a few pictures of the Crisps on the front. it all looks alright, and it doesn't look like they are trying to copy Skips, as the colouring is totally different.
These are in the shape that Skips are as well. They are shell shaped, and 1 side is a bit more puffed out than the other 1. I would say these are slightly larger than Skips but the curve part seems the same way.
These seem a bit softer than Skips. They are crumbly and although they soften up a bit more, they are just nice. The flavouring is stronger than Skips too, and it is a nice tangy Prawn Cocktail. I wouldn't say these are overpowering, but you will have to like Prawn Cocktail to have these. They are quite light and you get qutie a few
The bag size is 18g and has 91 calories and 5.3g of fat. I wouldn't say these taste cheap, but they don't quite taste the same quality as Skips, but they are just nice in a cheap and cheerful way. I like the fact that they are a bit more crumbly, but also I sort of like the hardness of Skips.
A nice Crisp from a good range of affordable Crisps. Although I think the brand name has the edge, I think these are nice in a different type of way.

Flavour / Appearance / Texture:
The snacks are shaped like little shells / flowers, very similar to Skips. They are a creamy colour, with a paprika colour speckled on the shell outline shape. They are textured as you would expect this type of snack to be textured, bubbly, crunchy, light. They taste fantastic, they have a tasty, but not overpowering, prawn cocktail flavour, which is pleasant and tingles on the tongue, but which does not leave a horrible after taste as I have found comes hand in hand with some other prawn cocktail flavoured products.
Asda Prawn Shells are delicious, great value snacks and perfect for lunch boxes, a light snack, a buffet item, or as an accompaniment to a sandwich. They work out at only 17p a bag roughly, and are absolutely lush!
