Advantages: Great with Butter/Low in calories/Cheap
Disadvantages: Taste too dry if ate on their own
I have been eating Rich Tea biscuits for years and years. Admittedly, when I think about them or sometimes when I see them as I walk around the supermarket; I sometimes think of them as being plain and boring. However, they are actually quite nice. Unfortunately I'm addicted to chocolate, but sometimes as a sort of alternative to chocolate covered biscuits and goodies, I decide to buy Rich Tea. I am perfectly happy buying any supermarket brand Rich Tea. Usually I go to Asda, so that is the brand I most often buy. In my view, they taste just as good as other more well known brands. Asda describe their Rich Tea biscuits as 'golden and crunchy sweet biscuits'. I am not suite sure that I agree with the sweet bit! Actually I almost class these as a cross between a biscuit and a cracker. They are crunchy, but you don't get many crumbs; they are a little bit sweet, but also dry.
My favourite way of eating Rich Tea biscuits is with Butter spread on them. Of course this defeats any ideas really regarding diets , but these biscuits taste absolutely delicious that way. I also sometimes dunk them in my Tea and they are good this way too. They are low at in calories; having only 34kcals per biscuit. This is great for those weight watching (provided you don't spread butter on them!).
I'm sure there are other ways you could have Rich Tea/ spread other toppings on such as cheese/cheese spread, but I stick to them just on their own dunked in Tea or with butter.
