Advantages: Crisp, tasty and cheap

Disadvantages: Packets very flimsy

These custard creams are in a no frills packaging with a white packet with a res sash. It simply states custard creams, so its easy to spot in the buscuit aisle, usually sat on the bottom shelf with the more expensive ones to hand.

Custard creams are basically two plain sweet biscuits sandwiched together with a dollop of cream in the middle.

Some people prefer to "dunk" , some just to bite, some prefer to pull off the plain part and lick the cream, i prefer to put it all in my mouth at once and chew. They are not crumbly when dunk and dont get so soggy that they fall in youe tea, they have a sweet, gorgeous taste, one to savour and I must admit, I can eat the whole packet in one sitting.

I think with the price of sweets getting so expensive, these are a great treat to give your children, they can get a generous handful each and have some left, all for 32 p for 400g, which is about 24 biscuits. And at only 61 calories per buscuit, makes a nice treat if your on a diet, if you can stop at a couple of course.

They have no artificial flavourings or preservatives and are suitable for vegetarians.

The packet is a bit flimsy though and once opened they need to be stored in an airtight container because otherwise as with all biscuits they soon go soggy.

I cannot see any difference between the more expensive one than these, perhaps these are alittle more crisper, but if you want a softer custard cream, these are not for you.

Well done asda, good product and a great price

Summary: A great biscuit, that when you take it out of the packaging, looks and tastes expensive
