“ Brand: Asda / Type: Cereal Bars „
I'm generally not a fan of cereal bars as I don't really like muesli or nuts and the majority of cereal bars contain both of these. But I do like to carry something in my bag in case I get peckish when I'm out and about, so I thought I would give these a try as I wouldn't have wasted much money if I didn't like them, as they're in Asda's Smart Price range.
These are muesli cereal bars made from puffed rice, rice clusters and oat flakes with strawberry flavoured sweetened cranberries and a yoghurt drizzle on top.
These are far nicer than I thought they would be. I've tried the Tesco value cereal bars that are very similar to these but these Asda ones are much nicer. The main muesli part is mixed with both soft and crispy bits of cereal and it doesn't taste plain or boring at all because of the extra tasty ingredients that come with it. The cranberry pieces are dotted all throughout the bar and they taste of really sweet strawberries so give the bar lots of flavour and sweetness. The zig-zag yoghurt drizzle is on one side and this adds a bit of extra creamy and sweet flavour and finishes it off perfectly. It also makes sure that the bar isn't too dry as it gives it a bit of moistness.
A pack of these costs only 78p and there are 6 bars inside each box, so they're excellent value for money and much cheaper than most other cereal bars.
They're also a lot nicer than some cereal bars in my opinion, which can be far too boring, plain and dry. The strawberry pieces and yoghurt makes this a really tasty cereal bar and it's something healthy for me to snack on rather than chocolate or sweets.
