I have a slight problem with biscuits in that if they are in my house I will devour them all within minutes. So because of this I try really hard not to buy them or have them in the house, or even walk down the biscuit aisle at the supermarket.

Unfortunatly I came home the other day to find one of my housemates had stocked up on biscuits - the asda smart price cookies being one of them.

I thought I would only have a couple, and they wont even be that nice so I wont want anymore anyway and then I will put them back in the cupboard and leave them alone. I was wrong. Anyway...to the review itself...

The packaging isnt too attractive, its the same with all the Asda Smartprice products - white with green lettering and the asda smart price logo (I do prefer the days when asda smartprice stuff had the red fox design on it). The cookies themselves are quite small, and resemble the Maryland Cookie (the more expensive alternative) just without as many chocolate chips. They are crunchy, and taste a lot better than I was expecting them to, infact to me they taste exactly the same as a Maryland Cookie, just without as much chocolate chips inside. The few chocolate chips that are in the cookies however are quite nice, and dont taste like the cheap powdery sub-chocolate you would expect from a smart price product.

So to summarise I would definitely recommend these cookies, they arent as bad as what you would expect them to be - infact they are actually quite nice and tasty! and for the cheap price tag you can't really go wrong. My only problem is because I am saving money by buying these, I justify it to myself that I can buy a couple more packs, as this would only come to the price of a branded pack of biscuits!
