I absolutely love pasta and one thing I love to eat with my pasta is garlic bread! Asda has a multitude of garlic breads available and I have tried a fair few of them depending on what's on offer. Seeing that they do a Smartprice garlic bread I was a little dubious at whether it would actually have any taste of garlic to it at all, and maybe it would just taste like a plain baguette. However for only 40p for a 170g baguette it was worth trying and I am really pleased that I did.

There are only 2 of us in our household so this is the perfect size baguette, although it would feed 3 people but no more than that. Obviously with 2 of us we get half each which is more than enough garlic bread for most people! Another good thing is that this baguette can be heated from chilled or frozen and takes about 10 minutes from chilled, 14 minutes from frozen.

For a 40p product you might not expect too much but I really like this garlic bread. It's nothing fancy but exactly what it says on the packet and I think there is just the right amount of garlic for my taste buds. Maybe for those of you who like something much stronger, you would be disappointed but this is just right for me. I certainly wouldn't buy the other garlic bread that is available for £1+ as I find them rather disappointing in comparison. I even enjoy this garlic bread by itself and have eaten it for my lunch on quite a few occasions.
