Good Quality Cake For A Very reasonable Price

I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised by this sultana cake, especially being labelled as "smart price" and costing a paltry pound my levels of expectation were not particularly high. The sultanas are sweet and plentiful surrounded by a lovely moist sponge. The packaging is very basic but it looks like that's where Asda are saving the pennies rather than on the product ingredients. Which seems like a great idea to me. It's tasty cake that I want, not fancy packaging. I love the fact that it's uncut so I can section it according to my hunger, rather than rely on somebody else's portion control. I tend to get 5 reasonably sized slices although on occasion's that has reduced to 4 if I'm being a bit of a pig. It also makes a tasty winter pudding if you blast it for a minute in the microwave and cover it with piping hot custard. All in all I feel that I got a bargain and it has certainly inspired me to investigate a few more products from the Smartprice range. Good work Asda!
