“ Brand: Asda / Type: Bread „
I love a good muffin! I eat them so often it's unreal! I can't resist them covered in butter ad jam! The other day my Mum did our weekly shop and instead of my usual Kingsmill coming through the door these Asda one's did and my heart sank just a little!
The muffins come in two rows of 3 sat on a cardboard tray with sides to it (where all the information is given) and over that a plastic covering. The tray is bright orange and on the front I'm told that they are Asda 6 White Muffins and there is a photograph of a muffin and I'm told they take 2 minutes to grill and the other side of the tray is exactly the same. Then on the bottom of it I' told how to cook them, ingredients and allergy advice is given along with nutritional information and advice on how to store them, contact details for Asda are given and finally there is a bar-code on there.
How To cook Them....
Grill for 4 minutes split into tow turning occasionally and you can toast them in an electric toaster for about 1-2 minutes.
Me And The Muffins....
I was really surprised at how good these were to be completely honest with you! Easy to cook... these are, round in shape, slightly baked in appearance before you cook them (and no visible dusting of flour) they are fluffy, white and smooth inside and possess a a nice bread smell to them.
They are not too thick but thick enough to cut in half (without too much mess either) to toast them without them crisping up and remaining soft and fluffy inside. They have a nice, slightly sweet and savoury flavour to them meaning you can add whatever toppings you like to these and they are robust enough. Not at all messy to eat, not one bit stodgy or greasy I'm quite a fan of these and think they're great value for money! I personally whack mine in an electric toaster and simply keep an eye on them and they cook up quick!
