Askey's were founded in 1910, bringing ice cream cornets to the UK market. They have now expanded to not only provide cones, but wafers, topping sauces and other sweet dessert treats. I have bought many Askeys products through the years and most recently I purchased their ice cream wafers. These wafers come in a pack of 48 and the packaging has changed considerably since the picture above was taken. The new pack is now two shades of blue, with lettering in both white and yellow. I've recently reviewed Askeys chocolate and toffee Treat sauces, and felt the need to buy and review their wafers as I hadn't had them for ages. Well, it's as good an excuse as any! The Askeys range is a great way to liven up your dessert, such as plain vanilla ice-cream, to suit what you fancy at the time and at a better price than an already-flavoured ice-cream.
