Me and my dad have just shared an Aunt Bessies Jam Roly Poly because we're the only ones who like these stodgy sort of cakes. I think it's a wicked treat in the cold weather because it's proper comfort food that always makes me feel better, especially with custard like we had tonight! You can cook it in the oven for about 30 minutes or nuke it for 2 1/2 minutes, I nuked ours because I didn't want to wait too long and it was just as good as when you do it in the oven it's just that the top doesn't get that little crunch like it does when you bake it. The cake is delish, it crumbles as you cut it and there's loads of jam in it that is lovely and ... Read the complete review

Occasionally when doing my supermarket shop, I often feel like indulging or am sometimes starving hungry so usually find myself picking up everything I fancy right then that I wouldn't normally buy. One of the things I often find myself indulging in is Aunt Bessie's Jam Roly Poly which is one of my favourite desserts in the world. It is a vegetable suet (similar to sponge cake) which is hand rolled with a tangy mixed fruit jam filling. Like all Aunt Bessie's products, the dessert comes in a deep blue box with a picture of Aunt Bessie cooking away on the front. There is also a picture of the dessert on the front looking very tempting indeed and this is what ... Read the complete review

Jam Roly Poly, Yum! It's one of the few things that I just can't seem to get right when I try to bake so instead I buy it. Aunt Bessies make really good cakes and desserts so I always buy it from them, I like to use trusted and well known brands because that way you know you're going to get quality food rather than being ripped off. The Jam Roly Poly comes frozen in a blue box with a picture of the Roly Poly on the front. It's quite easy to find as most of Aunt Bessies products are in blue boxes. Of course, because it's frozen the Roly Poly needs to be cooked before being served, a bit of a shame for those lazy people out there but at least it keeps ... Read the complete review

Recently with the weather being so poor my children have been asking for 'hot' puddings rather than the usual easy ice cream I can do in the summer. Doing my weekly shop today I spied Aunt Bessie's Jam Roly Poly and thought we would give it a try. The pudding can either be cooked in the oven at 200c for 30-40 mintues or microwaved for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. As we had eaten and were in a hurry I opted for the microwave option. There is a picture on the box of a rather delicious looking jam roly poly and I must say, that even when microwaved it still looks like this picture - a rarity in desserts I find. We all found the taste ... Read the complete review
