Bought some of this stuff on a whim as I had a craving for brownies and the local shop didn't have any on the shelves.Easy to make, but good god just vileYou may as well eat a handful of sugar as that's all the seem to be.All I can think is that Americans like this muck, which goes a long way to explaining whythey're so morbidly obese. If you have a chocolate craving, buy a bar of chocolate.

I love to bake, but as a working Mum, I don't always have the time or energy to make things from scratch. That being said I have never been able to successfully make brownies. The ones I have made before have either fallen apart in seconds, or been overdone, I could never get them right. So when I saw this Betty Crocker chocolate fudge ...  Read the complete review

I bought a Betty Crocker chocolate fudge brownie mix on offer one night in Sainsburys. It was on offer at just £1.00, this was the small pouch which makes just 4 brownies. There is also a larger size box which makes 16 brownies, and is around £2.00. I decided to try a packet brownie mix as I absolutely love brownies, but I'm a bit ...  Read the complete review

Personally I like to make my brownies from scratch but my partner in all his wisdom thought it would be fun for us to make brownies together and bought the Betty Crocker brownie mix from Asda so here's how we got on with the mix. **About Betty Crocker** I always see Betty Crocker products on the shelves when I'm perusing ...  Read the complete review

The recipe for these brownies is very simple, anyone can do it regardless of cooking ability, and as it only requires a few things added in for mixing (oil, an egg), kids can join in too. There's very little that can go wrong with the recipe (save for burning them), so you have a pretty big chance of them turning out ...  Read the complete review

I've used Betty Crocker's cookie mixes before and had good results, so this time I decided to try out the brownie mix. Retailing around the £1 mark, you get a plastic packet with the mix in (just like the cookies). However, with the brownie mix you also get a cardboard tray to assemble to put the mixture in, which I thought was a great ...  Read the complete review

I brought a box of this Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix for my sister to make because she loves making cakes and stuff but I haven't always got time to do things from scratch and honest my own brownies don't come out all that well. You just mix the chocolate powder with water, an egg and a bit of oil. Give it a ...  Read the complete review

It's incredibly easy to make the brownies with this product and if you took away the oven element of it and left that to an adult, kids could easy manage it themselves. And at the end after they've cooled you also have the choice of decorating them too. In terms of extra ingredients on top of the mixture all you need is some ...  Read the complete review

I don't have a lot of time to cook and by the time I get home in the evening, I can just about manage to make everyone their dinner, but there is absolutely no way in the world that I want to start baking. Apart from the time issue, for some reason I am the messiest person in the world where flour is involved. I seem to be able to get ...  Read the complete review

Having read a few reviews on this site recently for cake mixes I thought that perhaps I should try one. I do enjoy baking but sometimes I want something to eat quickly and can't be bothered with the hassle of baking or I don't have all the ingredients I need so for these times a cake mix seemed to be a good idea. Now my favourite cake ...  Read the complete review

Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Brownies – A Crock of…..well, not Chocolate! Yum, Chocolate Fudge Brownies... Kind of makes me think of 1950's american sitcom mothers baking in their tidy kitchens! With a revival of 1950's this summer, maybe now is the time to impress friends and family with a little help to your baking ...  Read the complete review
