I received this packet of cookies as a gift and it sounded amazing, and it truly was DELICIOUS! ~~~PACKAGING~~~ The packaging is simple, and the cookies are placed in a plastic tray, split into two, and contain around 10 cookies in total. The tray is wrapped in transparent plastic so you can see the cookies through the packaging- and they look good!! ~~~APPEARANCE TASTE AND TEXTURE~~~ The cookies are very round in shape, and has quite a smooth surface, with the candied lemon peel pretty well hidden beneath the surface. It is a nice cream in colour, with the edges a slight golden brown. Upon biting into the cookie, the texture is soft, yet crunchy and has a melt in the mouth quality. It is sweet in taste and being called "Lemon Soufflé", I could only really taste Lemon, which comes from the candied lemon peel; it is fruity and chewy which adds a texture to the otherwise crunchy biscuit. I found these cookies less indulgent than the other varieties available from Border's, although is somewhat more bland than those. Nonetheless, they make a delicious snack or dessert. ~~~PRICE~~~ Each packet cost just over £1 at Tesco, which appears to be slightluy on the high side considering the amount that you get, but it is absolutely worth it! ~~~OVERALL~~~ Despite receiving these as a gift, I am sure to look out for them at the supermarket and all the other varieties available to try. I like the overall soft yet crunchy texture of the cookie, and the candied lemon peel definitely adds a gummy quality which gives the whole thing it's fruitiness. Although it has an elegant name such as "lemon soufflé", there is really only lemon that can be tasted. Overall, this is a delightful cookie.
