A quality shortbread with atemptation to eat more.

This box of selected shortbread is one of the best I have tried. As a gift we received at Christmas amongst many of the others, I found the shortbread not too hard and it soon felt creamy as I left it in my mouth for a few moments for it to melt and get the true sensation of eating shortbread.

Many shortbreads take a bit of an effort to bite, but these biscuits just snap and the variety is very pleasant in this box with 5 different varieties.

The Demerara shortbread rings just melt in the mouth. Like the others in the selection they are pleasantly shaped to give their own identity.

Strawberry Petticoat tails are shaped in a triangle with a frill on one side; with pieces of strawberry gives that fruity taste and chewy for a longer experience.

The shortbread rounds are more buttery and creamy to eat and complement a cup of tea or coffee.

Chocolate Chunk Shortbread Rings complement each other well and ideal for younger members of the family who want that extra bit of fun taste, although I enjoy them as the chocolate melts with the shortbread to give that fine combination of creamy butter and chocolate as it slithers down my throat.

Finally to complete the range of five; the Shortbread fingers are one of my favourites, with simple two-bite size (I call them) to dunk into my mug tea, coffee, Hot Chocolate or Horlicks, which again gives that satisfaction of dipping the finger half way in the mug, hold it in the mouth for it to melt, then the remaining piece after you have finished.

Warning: discipline is needed as it is very easy to get carried away, so just take a couple from the box then put it safely away.

The box is nicely presentable with a list of the ingredients and guarantee using the traditional methods and use of quality ingredients which unfortunately like many other products, I need a magnifying glass to read them.

The only let down is for the allergy Information which states the factory processes nut products for which the makers apologise and I am sorry also for those who will not be able to experience this fine shortbread selection.
