Advantages: Nice chocolate which is the usual high quality of Caduburys
Disadvantages: Not enough flavour in the shortbread, not enough chocolate
Tonight my mate and I sat down to watch a couple of dvds and one of the treats I got us to nibble was a box of Cadbury's chocolate fingers as I spotted them in my local Spa shop costing only a pound a box and considering I have seen them on sale before in supermarkets for about the £1.50 mark I thought I was getting a good deal!
The Packaging:
These come in an oblong purple coloured box with a picture of the fingers on the front and the back of it and on the front of the box we are told in white and dark purple writing that they are Cadbury Fingers 'One may lead to another' and that just one serving contains 120 calories (one serving is actually 4 fingers by the way according to the information given on the back of the box). Other information listed on the back of the box includes ingredients and allergy advice being given as well as a full nutritional chart and an at a glance one, we are told that on average you get 24 fingers in a box and that they weigh 125g, they are suitable for Vegetarians and contact details for the manufacturer are listed. Nice enough packaging and inside the fingers are lined up in a black plastic tray with an easy to tear off see plastic cover. Nice enough informative packaging this is.
The Fingers:
Well in shape they are a couple of inches long and milk chocolate.....well fingers really. Slightly rounded to the top and flat to the unside the only problem I had with these is that they melt fast in the hand and after getting in a mess with a few fingers on our fingers (lol) my mate did pop them in the fridge but still hold them for a minute and they melt everywhere even when they have been chilled sadly.
The milk chocolate is nicely sweet and naturally so, creamy and smooth though I have to admit that as a chocolate lover I did find that although they were evenly coated all over them and looked nice enough there wasn't enough of the lovely chocolate all over them. Within each finger, the bulk of them is crunchy, shortbread biscuit which although crunchy wasn't all that flavoured which meant in the main you get the flavour from the chocolate....which I am not complaining about lol.
These are melt in your mouth (and hands if your not careful!) fingers with a very crunchy and not hard biscuit encased within chocolate and although I think that they are ok I do think that they are a bit boring, need more thicker chocolate on them and the shortbread could do with being more buttery and with flavour added to it and not so plain. I won't be buying these again but only cos their are nicer biscuits around than these in my opinion and you certainly can't dip em which is a negative for me!
Nutrional Information Per 4 Biscuits:
Calories: 120
Sugars: 7.6g
fat: 9.0g
Saturates: 2.4g

Available in all good supermarkets etc.
Summary: I thought I'd love these and I don't, they're too messy and not flavoured enough for me!
