Nice For Kids I Suppose But I Didn't Like Them

We brought these Disney Christmas fairy cakes with the same brand of mini rolls because you could get 2 packs for £2.00. The normal price is £1.20 and for that you get 6 small fairy cakes, not a brill deal in my opinion but they appeal to kids so HAVE to be overpriced!

They are chocolate fairy cakes with chocolate icing and then an eating paper decoration stuck on the top that has Pooh Bear, Tigger or Piglet. They look very nice but I didn't like the taste of them that much because the sponge tastes proper fake and even though they smell very chocolatey they're not.

The sponge has got a nice texture, it's light and airy but even though the cakes are only small they are quite filling. The problem for me is that they don't taste much like chocolate, especially the icing which tastes like that cheapo chocolate topping that isn't REAL chocolate but just brown icing with a bit of flavouring mixed in.

I think the cakes have got a bit of a salty taste as well after you've eaten it and that spoilt it for me. They're not mega sweet and that's surprising because they look so rich and chocolatey.

The best thing about them for me was the eating paper because they look soooooo pretty and I also love the taste of eating paper and the feel of it melting on my tongue.

There's a silver lining to these naff cakes though and that's if you like them they only have 95 calories each. I just think they taste mega cheap and aren't worth the money I don't think because Mr Kipling cakes are loads better quality and are quite often cheaper when they are on special offer.
