We quite often have a packet of these in the cupboard, however they dont tend to last very long! These biscuits are made by Fox's and are found in the biscuit aisle in the supermarket. They are available in 2 varieties: Chocolate Viennese Sandwich and Double Chocolate Viennese Sandwich. This review is on the regular Chocolate Viennese Sandwich as shown in the picture above. The packaging is slightly different to that above and is light brown in colour with a large Fox's melt logo and a good sized picture of the product. These biscuits come in packs of 10 which weighs 150g. They retail at around £1.30 but can often be found for £1 in Tesco.

As you can guess by the name these are a sandwich biscuit. There are 2 biscuits made with real dairy butter with a real chocolate filling. Usually I am not a fan of sandwich biscuits but because of the real chocolate and dairy butter I thought I would give them a go. Opening the packet you can see that the biscuits are housed in a plastic tray with 2 biscuits in each compartment. The biscuits are rectangular in shape, around 3 inches long and 1 inch wide. They look very appetising, the biscuits have a bumpy appearance and they are quite pale, similar in colour to shortbread. The chocolate layer can be seen and the portion looks very generous, the chocolate is a nice rich brown.

Biting into the biscuit you immediately noticed the dairy cream used to make the biscuits as they are so creamy! The bumps on the biscuit give a lovely texture and really help aid the taste in your mouth. The biscuit isn't hard but is sturdy, it melts easily in the mouth and is easy to chew. The chocolate filling is rich and creamy and really complements the biscuits well. The main thing about these biscuits is the creaminess and the texture in your mouth, together they create a real taste explosion and they are absolutely lovely. One thing I will say about these biscuits is that it is very easy to polish off the whole pack so beware!

Each biscuit contains 83 calories, 4.5g sugar, 4.9g fat (2.9g saturates) and 0.11g salt. The fat content is quite high for a biscuit but noting the quality and the creamy taste I am not suprised!

I really like these biscuits and will continue to buy them. They are a huge hit in my family and everyone likes them. They are a great quality biscuit and fab as a treat.

Summary: Quality biscuit
