Advantages: Look nice, taste good, lovely quality

Disadvantages: None really

Not very often do I buy biscuits. The reason for this is that I'm a little piggy and scoff a pack without even thinking, however yesterday I popped to the shops and it was a cold wet day and I got caught in it and so I felt rather sorry for myself and treated myself to a packet of these that were on offer for 69p a packet in my local Co-Op store (usual price about £1.15 a packet).

The Packaging:

Oblong plastic light brown and purple packet which is easy to open and on the front of it there is a photograph of the biscuits and some milk chocolate and we are told that they are Foxs Melts 'Since 1853' and that they are are 'Viennese Chocolate, Luxurious buttery biscuits with real chocolate centre', there is a nutritional chart depicted on there and the weight of the product is stated which is 150g. On the back of the packet other information listed includes being told a bit about the biscuits, the ingredients and allergy advice is given, a full nutritional chart is shown and contact details for the manufacturer are given (along with alot of information given in foreign languages). Nice looking and informative packaging this is which is easy to open etc and the biscuits comes lined up in pairs in a see through plastic tray.

The Biscuits:

Oblong and rounded off in shape these are reasonably thick though not huge. Think one bite and they're gone!. They look like lightly baked shortbread biscuits with a grooved texture on both sides on them and then to the middle the two biscuits are sandwiched together by a set milk chocolate paste. Taste wise I rather liked these. The biscuit itself isn't too sweet but crumbles and then melts in the mouth really well. You can really taste the buttery creaminess of them and simply as you eat them you can tell your nibbling quality. The chocolate is milk, again not too sweet but creamy..... I could argue there wasn't enough in them but what there was did complete the overall biscuit.

These are simply nice, tasty biscuits that look nice and taste good. Not my favourites but not one I'd avoid I could do just do with a bit more choccy in them!
