Advantages: lovely tasting biscuits
I've had one of those weekends when I felt a bit in need of cheering up, and luckily we had some Fox's Classic biscuits in the cupboard which seem to at least partly do the trick as they are rather tasty and a little bit indulgent!
You can buy these lovely chocolate bars in packets of eight which at the moment cost £1.19 in Sainsburys. I think this is pretty good value as it makes them work out at just about 15 pence per biscuit.
The packaging has a picture of a very tempting bar on the front and the description that these are 'crumbly honeycomb biscuits covered in real milk chocolate'. We also discover that each biscuit contains 130 calories which, as they seem a bit more weighty than some other biscuits like this, that does not seem too bad. Fat content is 6.9 grams though which is probably edging toward a little excessive.
Each biscuit comes in it's own individual wrapper in order to keep it fresh. These are very easy to unwrap - which pleases my four year old daughter a lot! Once open you see a lovely thick biscuit bar generously covered with a milk chocolate coating. The coating has quite a ruffled effect which makes it look very enticing.
When you bite into the biscuit you will discover a number of diferent components that all seem to work together very well. There are two honeycomb biscuits which are sandwiched together with a good mount of vanilla flavour icing. The biscuits are very tasty on their own. They seem quite oaty with that very distinct honeycomb flavour. The texture is quite crunchy and grainy and just one little downside her is that it does have a tendency to get stuck in your teeth a bit! The biscuit taste merges very well with the very creamy filling. As I said before there is a good helping of the chocolate covering as well and that is also delicious. The three different elements all combine well together, but I suspect if you were to eat more than one you might start to find them a little sickly.
So overall these are very tasty little snacks which are very popular with all of my family. They look good, they smell very tempting and they taste incredibly nice. Added to that the fact that they are reasonably priced and not too high in calorie content - I really think this biscuit is a winner!
