Advantages: light crumbly biscuit and soft creamy filling
Disadvantages: none that I can find
Fox's Classic bars, now there's a treat! I hadn't had one of these for years until I spotted them in the supermarket recently in a pack of 7 and decided to relive my childhood.
**The packaging**
These bars come in a royal blue wrapper with the Fox's logo and date when the company started - 1853. There is then a nice picture of the biscuit bar with a piece broken off so that you can see the yummy inside. Each biscuit is also individually wrapped, so making them easily portable on a day out, for work, school etc.
**The Look and Taste**
These bars are really special, nice crumbly, crunchy honeycomb biscuit with a layer of coconut cream in the middle and all encased in lovely milk chocolate - Mmmm. The coconut in the cream really stands out and leaves a pleasant taste in the mouth and is nicely offset with the light honeycomb biscuit.
**Nutritional Info**
The bars are a reasonable size and quite chunky so 131 calories each doesn't seem too bad, some Alpen cereal bars have 120 calories. However the fat and sugar content are not so great:
Fat per bar 7g
Sugar per bar 11g
**Allergy Suffers**
Anyone who suffers from allergies will probably be interested in the following:
Contains Gluten, Oat, Wheat, Cows' milk, Soya & Soya Lecithin
**The Price**
These packs are usually £1.39, which isn't bad for 7 snack bars, however they are £1 at the moment in Tesco and so excellent value.
**Summary**
I was really pleased that I saw these bars as they tasted exactly as I remember them as a child and I enjoyed them equally as much - classic!
Summary: Lovely treat with not too many calories
