Advantages: Tasty, crunchy, filling and cheap
Disadvantages: Don't taste of Worcester sauce, leave breath and fingers a bit whiffy after eating them
When it comes to crisps and snacks I could seriously just live on them and stop eating meals altogether! Yep I'm lucky I don't put on ten ton of weight with my terrible eating habits for sure but while I don't I eat about 4 bags of stuff a day at the moment and I enjoy every delicious moment of it! lol
After enjoying both the tomato and bacon Wheat Crunchies it was only a matter of time till I got my grubby mitts on these and when I did I bought a few bags to be honest as the thought of this flavour was rather appealing to me!
The Packaging....
Foil 25g packet that is a brown colour on the front and in large white writing I'm told they are Wheat Crunchies, there's a picture of 3 golden coloured 'tubes' and then under that (also in white writing) I'm told they are Worcester Sauce Flavour Crunchy Wheaty Tubes. The back of the packet is silver and on there the best before date is stamped on, nutritional, ingredients and allergy advice is all listed, contact details for KP Snacks are given (the manufacturers of this product), and finally the size is once again given. Nice enough packet, nothing exciting about it but does give all the information clearly that you may need.
The 'Tubes'...
Yes they are hollow golden tubes. Quite robust, slightly rough textured on the outside and on some of the tubes you can see brown bits of flavouring thicker on some more than on others. Smell wise they don't stink to high heaven but have a slightly spicy, sweet aroma to them that isn't overpowering.
There are about 20 of these tubes in a pack (give or take a couple as it varies bag to bag) and they are quite thick and long. Messy to handle they are with bits of flavouring clinging to your fingertips but they are not greasy to the touch as such, just be sure to wash your hands after eating a bag or hands do smell a bit whiffy lol
Taste wise they are reminiscent of Worcester sauce. Tangy, slightly sweet but if you were blindfolded for a taste test would you know the flavour? Me? NO I wouldn't I don't think. Tasty they are with an unusual nice sharpish flavour but I wouldn't recognise it for what it is to be honest!
They are tasty though. They are quite filling too. Delightfully crunchy with a lot of flavour and at 42p a bag worth a try but be aware they're nothing like crisps lol
