My two girls (5 years and 20m) are both reasonably fussy when it comes to food. They both have their favourites in regard to breakfast cereals, teas and even breads! However, they both agree when it comes to Hovis Soft White - my eldest regularly asks for the "soft" bread in her school lunchbox sandwiches, and my youngest wolfs it down with no arguments. For my family a loaf of Hovis Soft White lasts about 2 days - being used for breakfasts, lunches for four people and even accompaniments for tea if we have soups or stews. It seems to last reasonably well in or out of a bread bin, going a bit "sweaty" with moisture to be honest rather ... Read the complete review

Hovis have been baking bread for over 120 years and as a child whenever anyone mentioned Hovis, brown bread sprung to mind, I think that was maybe whenever my mother brought brown bread it was always Hovis. I still use Hovis brown bread sometimes for making sandwiches, but for everyday use we use Hovis soft white sliced bread. It is sold as soft white bread and it is indeed soft it is so soft when you get it out of the packet that it always leaves a trail of fresh breadcrumbs on the table. Even after toasting, the toast is nice and soft not like some bread that when toasted has the consistency of a stiff board. The butter melts in well ... Read the complete review

Hovis soft white bread is currently on offer in Asda for £1 a loaf. This is an excellent price, for what is an excellent quality bread. The medium sliced loaf. Is on the large size weighing in at a hefty 800g. The bread is stored within a brightly coloured attractive plastic bag. There is a fun picture on the front of the box which includes a tractor ploughing a field on brightly coloured corn. I feel this is very appealing as it gives the product a fresh and famhouse produced product. There is a vast array of dietry information, provided on the packaging. This includes nutritional values, ingredients and allergy guidance. What I find helpful, is ... Read the complete review

I am quite picky about my bread, and I have always found Hovis to be of excellent quality and there is always a wide variety to choose from. The bread comes in a thin plastic wrapper and is usually an orange and white colour (typical Hovis colour) on the front of the product its contains details about its nutritional values and also that it is made with 100% wheat. You will also find on the packaging how is best to store it to make it last longer and also in it includes the ingredients. The product is made from the following: Wheat flour, water, yeast, fermented wheat flour, salt, Soya, flour, vegetable fat, ... Read the complete review

One thing I love is bread. I could actually live on the stuff and happily (though my hips fail to agree!) munch happily through a whole loaf in just one day! Just tonight I had 6 slices of this bread with crisps not to mention the 3 I had for breakfast this morning! I don't like cheap bread though and usually my preferred choice of purchase is Warburtons 'Thick'. However me and my mate are currently on a budget before going back on holiday and are staying in her house clearing it out and really are watching our pennies. However the thought of 'cheap' bread makes my stomach churn and when in Iceland bargain hunting we spotted this on offer at 2 loaves for a pound so I was Read the complete review
