As I am writing this, I am munching on a packet of original flavoured Hula Hoops... So I thought I may as well do a quick review for them whilst I am here.
I bought a multi-pack of 7 hula hoop crisps, priced at a £1. The packaging is a bright red wrapper with the hula hoop logo in the middle (A picture of the hula hoop with the name written inside). It's quite a recognisable packet of crisps.
The packet states that it has no artificial flavours or colors, no msg and is made with 100% sunflower oil. Each pack contains 129 calories.
*Allergy advice - it may contain milk, soya, gluten and mustard.
Hula Hoops are potato rings which are quite a nice size to eat, they are chunkier than your average crisps and although the flavour is original (which is basically ready salted) - they have a different texture and taste to the other crisp products out there.
Kids tend to love these crisps and like putting them on their fingers as rings and then munching on them.. and i'm sure it's something everyone has done at some point. The crisps are quite salty which gives it a nice flavour and there are other flavours available such as cheese and onion, salt and vinegar, smoky bacon, roast chicken, bbq beef and apparently 2 new flavours have been recently released which is sour cream and chive and also sweet chilli. These are all packaged in a range of different colours and so it is easy to spot what flavour the packet is.
The multi-pack that I have bought has an expiry date of 4 months, and so they can be stored for quite a while. Though lets face it, crisps tend to be eaten way before getting anywhere near the expiry date. (unless you stock up quite a lot on your crisps :P)
I give these crisps 5 stars, as they are nice and tasty.. and also priced reasonably. However I find them not to be a crisp packet that I will buy that often and only prefer them now and again.. but as for the snack, Hula Hoops are pretty nice.
Summary: I'm sure you've all tried these at some point.
