Having enjoyed some part-baked loaves that I bought from Sainsbury's and Tesco, I decided to try some Iceland to see how they compare. I chose to buy a four pack of French style petit pains, which cost just 75p a packet or you can buy them in a mix and match 2 for £1 offer with other part baked breads. This deal does seem to be available almost every time I visit the shop, which isn't every week. Other items in the range include baguettes and white rolls, which I haven't sampled yet. These are a long life product, which makes them absolutely ideal for keeping in the cupboard. I have found the use by dates to be at least 3 months after purchase. You can ... I love these sorts of bread rolls that you cook in the oven and I thought I'd found the best ones in Tesco but the other week we popped into Iceland and I got a pack of their own brand ones and they're even better!!! They are part baked so take about 10 mins in the oven but you have to watch that you don't cook them for too long or they will start going majorly hard on the ends. I don't hold this against them though because all these part baked baguettes are the same. When they're done the crust is nice and crispy, they go a lovely golden brown all over and don't look patchy when they're done like the Tesco ones. They smell gorgeous when they're ... Bread is awesome! Tasty and filling a carbohydrate I really enjoy in many different forms! I like sliced bread both white and brown and seeded bread and bread cakes and pitta bread and tortillas and petits pains of course which are like mini crusty baguettes! Iceland do a pack of four and they sell two packs for only one pound so we get them from there a lot and bake them fresh in the oven as they are part baked and then id any are spare I have them for my packed lunch the next day at college :) The Iceland petits pains don't keep fresh fro very long once cooked as they tend to go really tough and stale.
