A good cheesy biscuit with a twist.

I got a packet of these with last weeks shop as they were on offer in sainsburys. A 150g packet cost just 63p instead of 95p so I thought that was a pretty good bargain. The ingredients are listed as: Wheat Flour, Vegetable Oil, Dried Powdered Cheese (11%, of which Cheddar 50%), Dried Autolysed Yeast, Raising Agents (Ammonium Bicarbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate), Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Barley Malt Extract, Dried Whey, Lactic Acid, Natural Flavouring (Onion Oil), Salt, Pepper Extracts. They are suitable for vegetarians. The nutritional info is listed as: Per biscuit - Calories 20 1%, Sugars 0.2g 1%, Fat 1.2g 2%, Saturates 0.6g 3%, Salt 0.1g 2% of an adult's guideline daily amount. I thought that was quite good for a biscuit, 20 calories for a cheesy biscuit, the only problem is, that it seemed impossible to stop at one. The biscuits themselves, are similar to a mini cheddar, only not so mini! They are crunchy like you would expect and have a lovely crumbly texture. The taste of these was really nice. They have the great cheesiness that you would expect from a cheddar and they had a hint of onion. I really like spring onions so I sort of wanted the onion flavour to be a bit stronger but I think most people would find it very pleasant and not over powering. The only downside I find with these particular biscuits is that they leave my fingers feeling greasy, this isn't a major problem as it soon washes off, but I just found it a bit of a negative point. All in all I would buy these again, as they were very tasty and were great with a chunk of cheese, I'm not sure I would pay full price for them as 95p seems just a bit too much, but as long as they are on offer they are in my trolley. A lovely twist on a cheesy biscuit.
