“ Brand: Jordans / Type: Cereal Bars „
Being that I work horrible morning hours occasionally I do rely on foods I can 'grab and go' so to speak. Otherwise it would mean I would be eating nothing for breakfast. I think fruit/cereal bars etc and perfect for when your in a rush and great for a snack.
Jordan's Frusli - Tasty Cranberries and Apple Slices Bar:
'A great combination of British wholegrain oats baked with tasty cranberries and sweet juicy apple slices'
* Source of fibre
* No artificial flavourings, colourings, preservatives
* Suitable for vegetarians
* Non GM
* No added salt
I do really like these bars however I only ever purchase them when on offer as I do think they are fairly expensive. They come packed in a box of six individually wrapped bars, so very handy for sticking one in your bag while on the move. These bars are wholegrain oat cereal bars containing 25% of fruit.
What I enjoy about these bars is that they are not hard or dry when eating them; I find this a big problem when purchasing cheaper brands. They are soft however not overly moist and rather chewy which I really like. Another plus for me is the chucky bits of fruit you can see within the bar itself, again when coming to cheaper brands I have found the fruit has pretty much gone to mush.
Personally I think they are very good quality and perfect in size each bar is 30g and I certainly do feel like I have eaten something when having one of these bars. Also good for snacking, being that they are much healthier than a chocolate bar or a pack of crisps. For me one of these bars will stop that hungry craving, reduce that sweet tooth and leave me feeling fuller for longer. - Bonus!
As you may know I'm very keen when it comes to recycling, and the packaging comes in a box made from 80% recycled board, the remaining 20% comes from sustainable forests which is pretty than a lot of packaging out there. In my opinion I think the Jordan's brand stands out among the competitors on the selves, using bright but not over the top colours.
Remember to recycle your box once empty!

Price and Availability:
You can purchase these from time to time from Bargain Madness if you have one near at only 99p per box and at that price is a total bargain! As I mainly shop in Asda, they do have this on offer now and again at £1.00 per box. Normally price is around the £1.99 mark and more is some places.
I'm a fan of the Jordan's range at normal price I personally think is a little expensive however you do get what you pay for. I find them filling, healthier than snacking on junk food and aids healthy eating.
Five out of five stars from me.
Thanks for reading.

Jordans is a British cereal company with over 150 years of history, with products ranging from cereals, muesli and cereal bars.
Jordans Frusli Bars are individually wrapped in plastic and then placed in card boxes with the easy identifyable name and variety on the front with an attractive stock photo also on the front. Each box contains six bars.
The design of the box is fantastic, as it stands upright on display, but when opening, also acts as a tray, with the bars lying flat, and the lid can be slotted back in. Each flavour also has its own colour scheme, so with several boxes in the kitchen, they make quite nice decorative food packaging!
The Apple and Cranberry variety has a Pink rose colour scheme.
~~~APPEARANCE TASTE AND TEXTURE~~~
The frusli bars are clothed in plastic, and upon unwrapping it is a long rectangular block of wholegrain oat cereal with dried cranberry and apple dotted around it. It has a shiny exterior and looks very appealing.
Upon biting into it, it is slightly chewy and crunchy and the apple definitely dominates here, with hints of cranberry making it a beautiful combination of flavours. The chewy dried fruit works really well, and it doesn't taste sugary sweet, it taste fruity sweet. The amount of fruit to cereal is also in the right proportion.
I love eating this as a snack- it is so fruity and yummy... definitely a must try! I also find the flavours in this variety much lighter than others that feel more dense and wholesome. I have also tried eating these for breakfast but they aren't as filling as I thought they would be and does leave your stomach empty and yearning for more. However, Jordans do a range of breakfast bars as well so I will be eager to try them out and see if they are any better; but for a fruity treat or snack, this is perfect!
I got these recently at Tesco for 2 for £3, which I think is great value... grab them before the offer goes!!!
Jordans Frusli bars are delicious, and this variety is no different. The cranberry is perhaps slightly overshadowed by the apple in terms of flavour, but it gives a subtle hint which is nice. I love the texture and the fruitiness that provides the sweetness not sugar. A real treat to be had whenever and whereever. Highly recommended for all!
