While doing my weekly shop I spotted a packet of 12 kingsmill crumpets for a £1 at asda and decided to buy them for my partner as he loves crumpets and cheese. I made us both some for dinner that same day and we were both extremly disappointed by these. They are thinner than any other crumpet but it wasn't this that put us off, they ... I normally eat toast in the morning, but I like crumpets as an ocassional treat, if they are decent quality. I've never been impressed with supermarket own brand crumpets as they are often thin, pale and appear squashed. I impulse bought a pack of Kingsmill Love to Toast Crumpets while they were on offer at Sainsbury's and I ... Read the complete review

I am partial to a crumpet in the morning when I get to work and am very loyal to the warburtons brand of crumpet, so imagine my distress when I went to Asda on Monday morning to buy my weekly crumpet fix only to find that there were no Warburtons crumpets on the shelves. Instead, my only options were Asda's own brand or Kingsmill love ... Read the complete review

Mmmm..... I love crumpets. Comfort food at its best. I used to love sleeping over my Nan's house as a little girl because I knew she would have got some crumpets in for breakfast. Over the years I have continued to enjoy these savoury circles of warmth and have now passed that on to my son who also loves them. So what are ... Read the complete review

I'm not a fan of toast in a morning. However, whenever I want something warm and something that's not as much effort as a fried breakfast I turn to crumpets. The other day these Kingsmill crumpets ended up in my trolley whilst doing the weekly shop. These arent hard to miss on a shelf as they come in bright yellow packaging. I ... I usually just buy a supermarket's own brand of value crumpets as they work out quite a bit cheaper, but I saw some of these Kingsmill love to toast crumpets in Iceland for better value so picked up a couple of packs. Each pack contained 8 crumpets (2 extra free) and were on offer for 2 for £1 which was excellent value. These ... Read the complete review

When scouring the shelves in Tescos for some snacks to keep in for the family I noticed Kingsmill Love to Toast crumpets recently. I am a real fan of crumpets but had never previously noticed these before so thought I would give them a try. With these being from the Kingsmill brand I was hoping they would be as good quality ... Oh dear. These were perhaps the most leaden crumpets I have ever eaten. Spread with real butter and thinly sliced cheese they sat at the bottom of my stomach for hours. I was going to feed the rest to the ducks, but they would have been unable to fly. Uggh. Never again.Jim S

I'm already a big fan of Kingsmill's bread and buy it whenever I go shopping, so when I noticed that they also made crumpets I was expecting similar quality when I recently bought a couple of packs from Tesco. I like a crumpet every now and then, preferring them on a supper time rather than breakfast so I sat down last night ... Read the complete review

I love crumpets but there's something about these Kingsmill ones that I'm not mad keen on even though loads of people I've spoken to have said how wicked they are. For me they're just not doughy enough and no matter how short a time you grill them for the tops always go too hard and don't soak the butter up as good as other ... Read the complete review

I fancied something different from the cereal that I have been having recently so when I spotted these Kingsmill Love To Toast Crumpets on the ocado.com website for 70p (for 6) I just had to throw some in to my virtual basket because I generally love Kingsmill products and I didn't think that this one would let me down. I love a crumpet or two every now and then so chucked these in the trolley the other day at Tesco, noticing that there were only two further packets on the shelf, and therefore 'they must be good'. We normally have Tescos own but as I quite often find they were sold out of those. These looked so good on the packet also, with the butter ... Read the complete review

I bought these the other day from Tesco, they were two packs of 6 for £1.00 instead of £0.89p each. My kids adore crumpets, and so do I, although I like them a little too much and could quite easily eat 4!!! The packaging is very bright, yellow with only about half the actual crumpets on display. The are a pack of 6. ... Read the complete review

I bought two packs of Kingsmill Love To Toast Crumpets a couple of days ago from Asda competitively priced at two packets for £1. I usually buy Warburtons crumpets but the kids pestered me into buying Kingsmill because they wanted to collect the tokens for the Wallace and Gromit goodies that were on the promotional packets. Love to toast by name and by nature. I bought these on offer from Tesco (2 for a £1). The immediate difference that I noticed was the thickness of the crumpet; it compared very favourably to the other brands I buy (Tesco value or Tesco standard). On the exit from the toaster, the looked especially appealing having ... Read the complete review

So... picture the scene; its that time of the week again - the boring Tesco shop after a long day at work. I pootle on over to the bread/bakery aisle to look for my usual pack of Tesco crumpets, only to find they've all gone. Not even the smaller packs left. *Grumble, Grumble* goes I. A substitute is needed, so I ... Read the complete review

Kingsmill Love to toast crumpets come in a yellow and clear package containing six which means you can see the crumpets very well before you buy, they are thick and fresh crumpets filled with lots of little holes which allow the butter to sink in to the crumpet and melt. My family love crumpets especially during the winter months when they really fit in the comfort food category. There's only two of us living here but my son is a frequent and always hungry visitor and he too has a crumpet weakness and because they disappear so quickly I usually buy the largest size at the cheapest price - both Tesco and ... When it comes to things like crumpets, i always tend to buy supermarket branded ones, as a- there cheaper, and b-i thought that all crumpets look and taste the same.
