      Very helpful

      Give them a go...

These are what I call salty sticks. I started buying them from my local Tesco store after my husband brought some and I found them quite morish.
They are a legendary snack in Poland and distributed worldwide. The recipe is a traditional one which has remained unchanged throughout time. The company dates back to 1910 and salt sticks came about in the 1970's.
They are just as they look really a thin bread like stick which is covered in tiny crystals of salt. Kind of like a straight pretzel.
From Tesco's they cost £1.18 a pack which is 300 grams.
They are usually found in the Polish section or world food section of tesco's stores.

Asda sell these are 40 gram pack for 40p or
      200 grams at 68p
      The ingredients are as follows
Wheat Flour , Salt , Vegetable Fat , Yeast , Acidity Regulator: Sodium Hydroxide , Raising Agent: Ammonium Hydrogen Carbonate. ( not sure what last one actually is)

      Nutritional values are
      Typical values 100g
      Energy 390 kcal/1633 kJ
      Protein 10,6 g
      Carbohydrate 78,1 g
      Fat 4,0 g

For me they are like Pringles where as once I open them I can't stop.
Not an ideal product for children due to the salt content.
Also they may cause you to be thirsty caused by the salt in them.
Buy a smaller pack to try them first incase they aren't something you'll like. Will be ideal to have as a snack whilst watching a movie to replace popcorn.
