When I saw this packet of Crisps I had to try them. They were new when I spotted them in Tesco about 6 weeks ago, and I like to try new food. Although I like the "premium" kind of Crisps you get, I often don't like the price of them, but shock horror I paid full price for these, which is a bit unusual for me. I am such a bargain hunter!
These cost £1.52 for a 150g bag from Tesco's. Just now the range is on offer for £1 though, so if I had waited a bit, then I could have saved a bit. Never mind though.
The packaging isn't that exciting. It is a brown bag and it has some cream/off write writing and swirly bits on it. The writing is also in brown against a creamy background.
When you open the bag you get a whiff of a Steak-y, Beef-y scent. Disappointly the Crisps are found about halfway down the bag, which is annoying. Why are the Crisps never more full in the bags? I know they have to settle, but surely we can either get smaller bags, or more Crisps.
These Crisps seems to be more the texture and Crispiness as Sensations and Supermarket Premium Crisp labels. They aren't quite as Crispy and Crunchy as Kettle Chips, but they have the same light brown colouring and the slight curve to most of them.
I was diappointed by these, as there is hardly any flavour on them. I was expecting so much more for the price of these, and I imaginged these would taste like a Lovely Burger King Angus Burger - all Meaty and tasty, but the flavouring was just really weak and plain.
I have tried all the range of flavours, so will write about them sometime, but they all lacked flavour, and I wouldn't even pay £1 a bag. There is loads of better Crisps out there.
