“ Brand: Mackies / Type: Crisps „
Another in the Mackies Crisp range and a slight better flavour improvement that the last ones, but still not what I was expecting.
These are on offer in Tesco just now for £1 for a 150g bag. They normally retail in Tesco for about £1.50, so a bit of a saving to be had.
I don't think the design of the bag is anything special. It is a navy blue colour and has sme cream writing and swirls on the front. There is a large cream square on it as well, and the writing is in navy against is as well.
The Crisps are like Kettle Chips, but not as Crisp. They are quite thick Crisps and slightly wavy and curled. They are a light brown colour as well.
Upon opening the bag you are met with a Salty. Malty, slightly Greasy scent. You can just imagine eating these and being left with slightly greasy fingers. When you feel the Crisps you can't feel any beads of flavour, but you can smell it on the Crisps.
I was diappointed when I was eating these, as there just doesn't seem to be much flavour to them. Yes, there was the slight saltiness mixed with the Tang of the Vinegar. It didn't seem like Malt Vinegar, as it seemed a bit weaker, but the hint of it was still there. If you just liked your Crisps to have a slight flavour then i'm sure you would love these, but I prefer a nice flavouring to my Crisps, and unfortunately these didn't hit the mark.
For the price of these you would expect that bit more. They are the same price and pack size as the Premium Brands such as Walkers Sensations, Kettles Chips, Doritoes etc, but they deliver much more than these - sorry, but I won't be buying these again unless I read on the pack that they have more flavouring added to them!
