Ahh Jaffa cakes, yes you heard that right, it's a cake.
McVities even think it's a cake because they used the word in the name.
So why then are they sold alongside the biscuits? A cake is usually cut into slices to serve to people but you would be hard pushed to get a slice of my Jaffa cake. I am actually starting to debate with myself....

I don't really care if it's a cake or a biscuit, it's yummy and it's covered in chocolate, which for a chocoholic like me gives it another thumbs up.

Jaffa cakes have a lovely sponge cake base, sat on top of this sponge base is a smaller circle of orange jelly, finally topped with a thin layer of milk chocolate. If I remember rightly there are 12 in a pack not enough in my opinion.

Jaffa cakes are available everywhere from tesco to your local corner shop and prices vary widely tesco sell them at £1.89 for a 24 pack, they are currently on offer with a buy one get one free. The single packs are £1.19 for 12. Our local corner shop sell them for £2.49 for a 12 pack. ( I like them but not enough to pay that much)

Each cake has 1 gram of fat in it, just one which is my excuse for eating a whole pack in one sitting. They are really yummy and if you do the full moon, half moon trick they seem to disappear rather fast.

My husband dips jaffa's in his tea but that to me, is pure abuse and he should be reported for crimes to cakes.

I have seen some of the limited edition jaffa cakes in the past but I don't see why they need to mess with perfection so have never tried the other flavours. You can't beat the original Jaffa CAKE.

Full moon, half moon, on my hips for many moon.

Summary: Off to tesco to grab a pack
