... bold and the crisps have a lovely texture with the ridges cut into them, which seem to help to hold the flavour. I do find that with some cheese and onion crisps the onion overpowers the cheese unlike these McCoy's which to me have a perfect balance of flavours. I know crisps are not the best snack in the world but every now and again I do like to indulge as a well-deserved treat. Also McCoy's are advertised as 'Man Crisps' but I love them just as much as my husband does and this statement will not stop me from ...more

McCoy's Cheddar & Onion: Bring on some girlie crisps too lol (446 words)

I love most crisps but I do not eat a lot of them as I try to watch what I eat and try to eat as healthily as possible but these crisps always tempt me to eat them, it is as if it has a label on it come buy me lol, which I do because my hubby loves them and eats them all the time. These are fabulous tasting crisps and they are quite thick crinkly cut and have ridges and they come in a nice foil type wrapper to keep them fresh. On opening the packet you can smell the flavour straight away and the taste of them is a strong one and you clearly know what the flavour is, with some crisps they have very little taste of the flavour they are supposed to be ...  Read the complete review

What a Flavour! (752 words)

On the whole, I'm not really a crisp person. I'd far prefer a bar of chocolate than a packet of crisps but on the odd occasion that I fancy a more savoury snack, it's for these McCoy's that I reach. The more I've had them the more I've grown to like them and these are fast becoming my guilty pleasure. McCoys are sold as part of a six pack, multipack of 32 gram bags and can be bought from most major supermarkets. It's rare to find these sold individually other than in vending machines but that does mean that you've always got a packet spare which comes in very handy as these are seriously moreish. The packet is decorate in a gold, black and ...  Read the complete review

McCoy's Cheddar & Onion: thick cut crisps (275 words)

McCoy's Crisps are probably one of my favourite Crisps out there, but oddly enough I don't eat them that much. It could be because they cost a bit more to buy, which I don't think the reason is, but they are also harder to buy individually as well. This flavour is the best though. You can get these in a 6 bag multipack which costs about £1.50 or the individual bag which costs around 50p. Quite expensive for a bag of Crisps but these are that bit heavier that other Crisps. Sometimes the 6 packs are on half price in Asda and Tesco, which is when we often stock up. The bag looks ok. All the bags look the same with the gold coloured foil and the McCoy's ...  Read the complete review

The Real McCoy's - Accept No Imitations. (379 words)

I absolutely love savoury snacks and prefer a packet of crisps to a bar of chocolate any day. One of my favourites are McCoy's Cheddar & Onion, which I am eating right now and enjoying every tasty bite of them! McCoy's Cheddar & Onion come in a foil packet which does a very good job of keeping the crisps nice and fresh. The pack is attractively coloured in dark green, black and gold and this classic colouring makes them look like a quality brand. Thankfully, as well as looking like a quality brand, they taste like one too. When you open them, you do get quite a strong smell of cheese, which give you an idea of just how full the flavour is ...  Read the complete review

McCoy's Cheddar & Onion: Umm Cheddar and Onion... Genius! (470 words)

We don't buy brand name crisps that often, mostly sticking to the - generally cheaper - own brand versions. However, occasionally something like these comes up as a bargain in somewhere like farm foods, and then I have to say we indulge. At the moment, farmfoods are offering these and the McCoys Beef Flavour Crisps at £1 for a multipack of 6 bags. We couldn't resist temptation and a pack of each came home with us. These are billed as 'Cheddar and Onion' rather than the more normal 'Cheese & Onion' that most brands go with. They are nicer than a lot of cheese and onion crisps, but to be fair I don't think it's so much the flavour as the ...  Read the complete review
