I have to say that I am a big fan of the Ham and Mustard flavour McCoy's crisps. These crisps are ridge cut and really thick and crispy. I don't have them with my lunch every day but they are great for a meaty treat.
McCoy's state that these Man Crisps are the ultimate ridge cut potato chips with full impact flavours. Cooked using a unique recipe, the thick ridges hold more flavour to deliver a really satisfying taste.
McCoy's boast that these crisps are made with a blend of sunflower and vegetable oil. In 2007 McCoy's contained 30% less saturated fat than in 2006. Now they have reduced the saturated fat by a further 30% compared with 2008 levels.
Ingredients: Potatoes, Sunflower Oil (21%), Vegetable Oil (9%), Roast Ham and Mustard Flavour (Flavourings, Dried Whey, Salt, Dextrose, Flavour Enhancers: Monosodium Glutamate, E635; Sugar, Potassium Chloride, Maltodextrin, Colour: Paprika Extract, Dried Yeast Extract, Mustard Extract).
These crisps contain milk, wheat and mustard and are produced on a line handling soya, gluten.
These really are 'Man Crisps' as they are much thicker that the normal crisps. They are packed with flavour, it is nice to have a ham and mustard flavour rather that a beef and mustard. Although rather that ham, it is more live a Smokey bacon flavour. The mustard has a nice kick to it too, it's a real English mustard taste. You can see by looking at the crisps that they are full of flavour as you can easily see they are coated in the flavour mix.
The individual bags contain 35g of crisps and cost around 55p, with the packets in the multipacks containing 32g. Each bag contains around 166 calories and 9.8g of fat (2.0g of that being saturated).
To conclude: if you are looking for a hearty and filling bag of crisps you cannot go wrong with a bag of McCoy's, especially with there really tasty flavours, but if you are on a diet or cutting down these are not the lowest fat crisps, but as they say the nicer they taste the more fattening they are!
Summary: Great meaty crisps
