Advantages: Thicker than other crisps
Disadvantages: Make me cough
McCoys as a crisp seem to have an extra amount of crunch compared with other makes of crisp and while they are not always stocked in small corner shops they can always be found in the supermarket like Tesco or Sainsburys. They retail for about forty pence a bag however if you buy a multi pack they can work out cheaper.
I had a packet of salt and vinegar flavour although there are lots of flavours to choose from and I also like the chilli flavour as well although I have not had those for a while.
The crisps themselves are quite a bit thicker than other makes of crisp and they have a ridged appearence which I think helps keep the flavouring on the crisp. I do not find them as greasy on your finger compared with Walkers or other brands.
They have a lovely crunch when you bite into them and I do find the salt and vinegar to have a strong rather tart flavour, in fact my only criticism sometimes is that they are too strong and can make me cough a lot because the vinegar is so strong although I do not have this problem with other flavours.
These are definatey nice to have as a change and I find them to be good quality with no burnt crisps in the bag and also because they are that bit thicker they keep their shape and do not get turned into crumbs like cheaper products.
Summary: Nice tasty crisp.
