Mouthwateringly delicious nobbly biscuits
Member Name: gorgeousamanda
Advantages: Taste great, A good as biscuits can be.
Disadvantages: Too nice to stop munching
I am not normally one to buy biscuits, simply because when ever i do, i tend to end up eating the whole packet within a day, however upon a trip to the local shop this morning i saw these biscuits on offer at just 52p for a 300g packet so i picked up a packet on impulse.
Hobnobs have been about for quite a few years now and they are definately a favourite in my household, the packet is the standard orange and blue printed plastic type with an easy opening strip to pull situated towards one end, which on this packet did not work well and the dog ended up with 2 which fell on the floor, not that she complained!
The packet advertises that it is now has the lowest ever saturated fat with the same great taste, the taste is the same as i have always remembered it to be but i did find them a little drier than in the past, a small price to pay for less fat really so i am not complaining.
The texture of the biscuits are crunchy, oaty, nobbly and somewhat crumbley, as you open the packed the sweet syrupy aroma hits you with such force that your mouth begins to water in anticipation.
As you take your first bite, the sweetness melts in your mouth and it feels like you are in heaven (ok a bit of an exageration but it does taste good), you can feel the nobbly bits crumbling as it released more crunchy oats full of flavour and before long you realise you have eaten more than you probably should have, guilt hits in and you know its ruined your diet but you somehow don't mind.
The biscuits are ideal to share, loved by so many and perfect dunked in tea (or coffee in my case) but beware you do not dunk for long, a quick dip is all that is needed or you will end up with more biscuit at the bottom of the cup than in your mouth, equally as perfect eaten unaccompanied and great for a quick sugar fix.
If you have never tried the famous McVities Hobnobs, do so, they are perfectly morish!
Summary: Crunchy, oaty, nobbly and somewhat crumbley sweetness!!!
