Advantages: Great coffee break treat
Disadvantages: Too many will soon add up those calories, everything in moderation!
McVities is perhaps one of the widest known producers of high quality biscuits, from their digestives through to their shortcakes and it comes of no surprise they have excelled again with the addition of Caramel Digestives to their delicious range.
McVities was established in Edinburgh, Scotland back in 1830 and is owned by the United Biscuits group who have many years experience in the snack food market, bringing us some of our favourite brands such as KP nuts and Twiglets.
McVities Caramel Digestives come in a distinctive yellow packet available in 200g and 300g packs retailing at around £1.00 on offer at the larger supermarkets and some newsagents. Prices will vary.

The biscuit looks similar to the chocolate digestive, slightly smaller in size with a coating of chocolate on one half, perfect size to fit in my mug, unlike the original digestives (which I also love).
Biting into the biscuit the chocolate covers a smooth rich caramel and perfectly compliments the digestive base which isn't' too dry and just the right crunch. The caramel doesn't leave the digestive soggy but more than a few of these can become quite filling and sickly, everything is good in moderation.
I have eaten three writing this review as they are too tempting. I have come to the conclusion that these caramel digestives may just be one of McVities finest creations for the truly indulgent caramel lover. They also go well with coffee and tea.
Summary: I love them and highly recommend them to anyone who has a sweet tooth for caramel.
