Go Ahead - Fruit Bake McVities Go Ahead products have been specifically designed for the lower fat market segment. They have a range of different cereal bars, crisps etc and it is their Go Ahead Raspberry Fruit Bake Bars that I am going to be reviewing. GoAhead bars are something I eat when I want to have something healthier than chocolate but still something sweet. Honestly though I only find myself eating them when theres no chocolate in the house. Raspberry is definatey one of my favorite flavours though, ive tried the apple and the blackcurrent varieties too, but the raspberry has the strongest taste for me. The filling is basically raspberry jam, so if you like that you should like these. On the box it says there is now 50% more filling and in the ingredient list it says it is 53% of the product. Being at college and currently between financial support at the moment through no fault of my own, I try to take in whatever food I can to reduce what we spend as we are now on one income. On one of our two monthly shops we get either one or two boxes of these. *Price* Slightly overpriced, not too fond at all. You get six in one packet and they are big enough to keep you going until dinner time. Expect to pay between £1.60 and £1.80 for a box of six. They last me about a week and a half so spending £1.80 for another box every week slowly adds up.
