P.. P.. P ..pick up a penguin that's the advertising motto.
A Penguin is a animal that lives in Antarctica, lol.. Seriously a Mc vities Penguin biscuit is a legendary biscuit that has been about for years, Since 1932 to be precise. We eat 430 million of them in the UK every year.
I enjoy eating them due to them being totally chocolate. You bite into the thin milk chocolate coating on the outside and find the chocolate biscuit which contains a chocolate cream substance in the middle. Like a Bourbon biscuit does. They taste lovely but it is hard to explain them. The biscuit is more crisper then a normal biscuit and all the textures blend in together when you take a bite.
Penguins contain no artificial colours or flavours and are a good source of calcium (that will be the milk in the chocolate). Gives kids aged (7-10) 25% of recommended calcium intake for the day. I often put one in my sons lunch box for his treat, Not sure they will allow this at junior school though.
Each single biscuit provides 113 calories
You can purchase Penguins in packs of 9 or 18 (possibly less) costing approx £1.15 for the 9 pack which is currently on offer in our co op for 67p a pack, Total bargain for less then 10p per biscuit.
Penguins come individually wrapped in plastic wrappers and the main package is also in plastic, The penguins are lying in a line when wrapped.
Penguins are well know for having a joke as on each biscuit wrapper like a Christmas cracker there is a joke with every one, The answer is under the flap.
My joke tonight was-
Q-What do you call a Penguin in the Desert?
A- Lost
Summary: Handy to buy for a snack or treat, each individually wrapped.
