“ Brand: Morrisons / Type: Bread „
We get this Morrisons Batch Loaf in a lot as my mum eats it for breakfast (gross!) but I like it covered in butter after toasting it as a snack :)
It is really nice as a snack and full of dried fruit like raisins, sultanas and currants if you like that type of thing. The fruit content adds up to 17.5% of the loaf and it makes the white bread really juicy and tasty!
I don't know how much it weighs but it gives you the calories on the back of the pack which are 250 per 100g.
The batch loaf comes in plastic wrapper and has a purple label and the price of 79p on the front in a red sticker.
Once open it needs to be kept sealed otherwise it will go stale quickly, but keeps for a few days fresh as it is moist and spongy...
It is made in the UK by Morrisons of course and cooked together to make the sides soft and the top is really shiny with a glaze that's put on before it goes in the oven.
The bread is white and there is a lot of fruit and it contains gluten, milk and soya for any allergists.
It is really soft and nice and bounces back when you squeeze it and full of fruity flavour which makes it really sweet. There is a high sugar content of 20.2 g and fat of 3.1g too.
The bad part of this product are the E numbers - it has E407, E481, E471 and E 472e which is a lot for a bread product.
I don't know why they re out in, obviously they are preservatives but that isn't good so I'm only giving three stars for this review :(
