Advantages: very tasty, stays moist for longer
Disadvantages: rolls can be messy to eat
Originally Asda started selling tiger bread a few years ago, and recently Morrisons have begun to follow them. You will find the Tiger bread in the bread aisle, along with the other varieties of bread that Morrisons offer.
So, what makes tiger bread different? It is a white loaf, normally very moist, baked with sesame oil, for an unusual, but very pleasant flavour. The bread itself tastes no different to other white bread, except for being more moist, but the crust is very flavoursome.
Tiger bread is distinctive in its appearance, as it has a pattern baked on to the top of it using rice paste before baking, this often gives the appearance of tiger's stripes.
Morrisons sell the bread in 400g and 800g loaves, and also as a pack of 6 rolls. While lovely and flavoursome, the rolls, where they are covered entirely with this pattern, can be very messy to eat, and your fingers end up with sticky brown marks which are a nightmare to get off, so maybe not advised for picnics, or other places where you can't wash your hands immediately.
The loaves however do not have the same problem, and make, in my opinion any sandwich more exciting. They also smell sensational, and will make your home smell like a bakery all day.
Tiger bread will cost you the same as other loaves of bread at Morrisons, around 65p for a 400g loaf, £1.10 for a 800g, and 95p for 6 rolls.
Summary: an easy way to spice up any sandwich
