Mug Shots are smallish sachets of dried pasta in sauce, ideal for taking for a quick lunch at work or enjoying at home as a quick snack.
They come in foil coated paper style sachets which are easily torn apart, brightly coloured, the cream cheese one is green and the tomato one is red, that is all I remember, sorry!! It will tell you if that particular flavour is low in fat, the ingredients and the nutrition will be on the back of the pack.
They are extrmely simple to prepare, simply pop the contents of the sachets into a mug, I recommend using the biggish mug as the product will simply be too strong if it us used in a cup or a small mug. Wait for the kettle to boil, and bang in the water to your preference. Then stir it up paying particular attention towards stirring and breaking up any sediment left behind at the bottom, then leave to stand for 3 or 4 minutes, stir up again and enjoy but of course be very careful as it will be HOT!! Of course you canalways top it up if you require a thinner sauce.
The consistency across of the flavours is that of a pretty thick sauce, and the pasta and flavour is very plentiful. You will see the odd herb floating about. Mmm the smells that come from the mug are amazing!!
My favourite is cream cheese which is apparently low fat as well, you would not normally associate great taste with lower fat but it really is a treat, thick and warming and not overly cheesy but more on the creamy side.
The tomato and herb one is a little tangy and is one of the lowest fat ones so hopefully will not break the diet!!
Now I have not yet tried the others but there are a few other flavours available to buy, Chow Mein flavour, Chicken Flavour, Chicken & Mushroom Flavour, Creamy Cheese Flavour, Tomato & Herb Flavour, Sweet & Sour Flavour and Creamy Mushroom Flavour, as you can see a pretty good variety for most tastes here.
They cost about 48p a sachet which rivals Pot Noodles and are so much nicer than those horrible things lol, and have also seen them three for £1 so you could try a few flavours and see which that you prefer.
Summary 9 out of 10!!
