Advantages: Great to have as a snack at any time.
Disadvantages: None.
Having a fancy for crackers and cheese sometimes in the evenings as a snack, I decided to give an old time favourite of mine a try Ritz Crackers by Nabisco a light Savoury snack biscuit.
They come in a 200g box, the box is red in colour and has the word Ritz written in yellow on a blue background. There is a row of crackers shown on the front of this box.
They dont have a great overall flavour but taste slightly salty, and are a golden colour and crisp but also slightly greesy.
How I like mine..
I like Ritz with slices of thick cheese on top, onion slices and salad cream. They are also nice with slices of cheese and tomato on top. You can eat them with butter and marmite on top. I like them with cream cheese and an assortment of pickle onions, beetroot, and spring onions, coleslaw etc.
These crackers do not have a strong flavour, like the cheese ones so you will need to add items on top of these biscuits to enhance their flavour, they are quite plain tasting, although as I mentioned salty, and are crisp and fresh once you have openned the sealed plastic bag inside the box in which they come in.-
The ingredients are : (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate [Vitamin B1]Riboflavin [Vitamin B2]Folic Acid)Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Salt Leavening (Baking Soda, Calcium Phosphate)Soy Lecithin (emulsifier)Malted Barley Flour.
I find that no matter what you top these crackers with, they seem to keep in one piece and dont break up that easily. You can dress them up with almost any topping you which, peanut butter, cheese, marmite, they are great to have with a bowl of mushroom soup as are great to dip in.
I enjoy these crackers and they have been around for a real long time now, although I prefer crackers with a cheesy flavour, these with toppings on are not that bad, costing just over £1.00 per box, and kept in an airtight container they are handy for a snack at any time.
Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
Summary: Great tasting crackers, provided that you add toppings to them, on their own they are a bit bland.
