“ Brand: Nairn's / Type: Biscuits „
Nairns Fruit and Spice oat biscuits.
Recently there was a display table in Sainsbury's Supermarket just before Christmas advertising a small voucher off these oat biscuits, and you could taste a sample which was good as i actually quite liked them.
They come in a carboard packet and the N for their product comes in a tartan green colour and the writing underneath the Nairns says that these variety are fruit and spice, they are currently sold for £1.12p and they are just a little bit different from the norm.
The biscuits are Medium Gi, and are made from Wholegrain Oats, have a Wheat Free Recipe, and are taste Great Award Winners.I think that they will make a tasty substitute for a packet of crisps, and are the much healthier option.
The humble Oat, is Wholesome, yet at the same time Nutritious and keep me feeling satisfied, and full.

These Biscuits are quite a round biscuit like any other but have a really oaty brownish colour to them, You can see the little bits of fruit and spice pieces showing in the top of the biscuit, and they taste really good.
If you are a great fan of eating Oaty products then these biscuits you will love. They are rather thin and inside the packet you get four small little packets that each contain five biscuits in each one. They are rather crunch and crisp to bite into and i noticed straight away the oaty taste with the flavours of the spice and the fruit coming out in my mouth, apart from leaving a kind of dryish taste in your mouth presumable from the oats, i had mine with a cup of tea, i would say that in the main, they were quite a nice different tasting biscuit, and i did feel rest assured that these biscuits because they had so many good ingredients in them, where the healthier option to me than my usual choccie biscuits, and as i have been trying to shed some of the weight that i have collectively put on over Christmas, at least i can feel that i am doing my bit to try and combat this
And yes they are very Oaty, but in a nice way, i think that i definetely enjoyed these biscuits they come in a variety of flavours and will let you know what the other flavours tasted like.
The Carboard Box that the biscuits came in is recyclable, and the sell by date was a good few months ahead. I also liked the fact that these biscuits came in individual plastic see through packets containing five biscuits, in each so that you could pop a few of these into your handbag so you could take them to work with you.
I liked the crunchy taste, and also the subtle way that you could taste the spice mixture contained in the biscuit reaching the roof of your mouth once you had biten into one of them.
Yes I will be buying these again, they were a good price and they tasted good, and were in my opinion quite healthy.
