      Lush pretzels...I love them!

After me and my mate did a car-boot sale the other day and we made a few quid our first port of call was to Asda to get some much needed 'fancy bits' Living on a budget due to us holidaying so much lately and house clearing and stuff like that means funds were more often than not.... very low indeed!

So with our purses stuffed up with some notes we grabbed two large trolleys for a stock up and hit the 'naughty' aisles with avengence, grabbing bags of savoury items to munch through whilst we decided to have a much wanted and needed girly night watching some dvds we were buying at the same time lol.

      The Packaging:

250g black plastic bag with a photograph of the pretzels on the front and I'm told that they are 'Baked with an authentic American recipe', Penn State, Sweet & Sour Spicy Salsa Flavour Pretzels and there is an at a glance nutritional chart shown on there. On the back of the bag other information given includes being told a bit about the pretzels and other flavours available from within the range, ingredients and allergy advice is given, I'm told they are suitable for Vegetarians, a full nutritional chart is listed, contact details for Intersnack Limited (the manufacturer of the product) are given and the weight is stated which in this case is 250g. Nice enough informative, easy to open bag this is though if you want to save some they are a pain to reseal to keep them fresh!

      The Pretzels:

Golden and a sort of round of shape with three holes in them they have a lovely spicy and slightly sweet aroma to them and they look great. I was impressed by how robust they were and that they weren't messy in the packet and broken up etc when I first opened them up!

Coated in a thick dusting of a light creamy coloured seasoning, the pretzel itself is made from a seasoned wheat flour and potato mix and then the seasoning over them is salt, dried onion, sugar, peppers, spices such as chilli, paprika and cayenne. They are incredibly flavoursome with a nice tangy hotness to them which tingles the tongue slightly but with a wonderful natural sweetness too! They are incredibly tasty, crunchy and moreish and me....I ate the whole bag and me poor old mate never got a whiff of these much to her disgust lol.

For a pound a bag (and I've only ever seen these in Asda stores by the way) I think they offer value for money as you don't half get a lot of pretzels crammed into this large bag but not only that they are wonderful quality too. I did save about a quarter of a bag (that I hid to eat later all by myself lol) and ate them 2 days later and they were still really fresh (I stored them in an airtight container!). Yummy pretzels and I shall certainly buy these time and time again in the future!
