Advantages: Great quality
Disadvantages: Not enough flavour for me in these!
I do love my snacky foods so whilst out shopping with my Mother today I saw these reduced from £1.25 a tube to 89p a tube in Sainsbury's and decided to give them a go as this was one of the few flavours from within the range I hadn't tried! I do try to avoid the purchase of these cos the slogan 'You cant stop once you've popped' is very true in my case and I always sit and devour a whole tube in one sitting!
The Packaging....
Bright orange and yellow cardboard tube with a yellow silver foil seal over the actual crisps and a clear plastic lid covering that tightly. On the tube there is a drawn on face and in bright yellow writing I'm told they are Pringles then under that in white writing I'm told they are Paprika Flavoured and are suitable for Vegetarians and the size is stated on the bottom of the tube in black writing (which is 155g). There is a picture of the crisps on the front with some juicy red peppers and a pile of powder which depicts the paprika. On the back of the tube once again I'm told what they are, ingredients are listed, I'm told they are made in Belgium, contact details for Procter & Gamble are given (the manufacturers of the product), nutritional information is listed and finally there is bar-code on there. Nice enough distinctive packaging this is.
The Crisps....
Large and a plain vanilla colour in places with a dark yellowy/orangy colour on the majority of the crisps which is the flavouring of course. I do like the curve to the centre of the crisps (for ease of handling) and like the way they are unmessy to eat.
They are crispy, fresh and light with a deep crunch to each one. A slight bacon smell in my view is the whiff these give off along with fried potato and all in all they taste rather nice though not too heavily really.
They do taste of a light paprika and have no spice to them as such. To me they taste a little reminiscent of bacon flavoured crisps though they don't give me indigestion thankfully! They are well seasoned with salt to ping the natural flavours out I.E potato ad they are not greasy to the touch or to the taste.
All In All....
Not my favourite flavour from Pringles as I don't find them flavoursome enough or interesting enough to eat and for me in the taste stakes they are rather flat and dull. Ok though and of course they are the usual quality we expect from Pringles so really if your interested in trying these there's no reason not to! They're ok but give me the BBQ flavoured one's any day of the week thanks lol.
Available in all good supermarkets, corner shops etc and and in a lot of flavours! Do look out for special offers on these as well people!
Summary: BBQ still rock my world!
