Pringles Sour Cream & Onion
Advantages: very tasty, nice strong flavour
My husband and I are both big crisp fans but we tend to only purchase Pringles when we have guests visiting for small parties. This is because they come in handy tubes which people can just help themselves to directly from the packaging and they can be resealed. Pringles come in all different flavours but at Christmas there was a special offer on the big party sharing tubes of Pringles in Tesco and one flavour I decided to purchase amongst others was the Sour Cream and Onion.
The large party size Pringle tubes were on offer in Tesco for just £1.00 at Christmas which I think is excellent value as they contain 190g and can be quite expensive when full price. You can also buy these Pringles in slightly smaller tubes and also mini individual sized tubes too.
The Pringles come in a large cardboard tube that has a metal bottom and a plastic removable top which can be replaced, that is if you can resist eating the whole tube in one sitting! When you remove the plastic top you can find a foil seal covering the tube which helps to keep the Pringles fresh and can easily be removed by peeling it off with the protruding tab. Even though the Pringles can move around in the tube I have very rarely ever found any broken ones in the tube as it seems to protect them well.
Once you open the tube you will find the oval, curved Pringles inside stacked on top of one on top of the other. I am not sure quite how many Pringles you get in a tube but there is a fair amount as they are quite thin.
The Pringles are a light golden colour and you could just see the light powdery flavouring coating them if you look closely. The Pringles were very fresh and had a nice crunchy texture. The flavour is fairly strong and you can certainly taste both the onion and the sour cream which combined gives quite a tangy flavour. I did find that this flavour did get a little sickly when I had a few of the Pringles, but in a way that did stop me from eating them for the sake of it and allowed me to just enjoy a few at a time as a treat. I do generally prefer to eat real potato crisps rather than reformed potato snacks like Pringles but I find these to be very tasty and for anyone liking cheese and onion they make a nice alternative.
Summary: Another great flavour of Pringles!
