“ Brand: Real Crisps / Type: Crisps „
I LOVE combos like Ham & Mustard or Beef & Horseradish when it comes to crisps and have known about Real Crisps for AGES but have never seen a flavour in the shops by me that I feel like trying. When I went to visit my mate though we popped into the farm shop by her and they sold what looks like the whole range for 50p a bag.
The bag has changed now and even though it's still yellow there is a picture of an old man on the front pulling a weird face.
The crisps have got the same sort of texture as Kettle Chips, they're not quite as hard as them but are deffo crunchy instead of actually being crispy. The crisps are quite thick and it looks like the skins are still on a lot of them and that always gives them a nicer flavour I think.
The flavour of the crisps is gorgeous. It's a bit of a sweet ham flavour that tastes loads more meaty than I thought it would, the mustard isn't madly over powering either and I was glad about that because even though it's warm and tastes delish it doesn't blow your head off.
You can deffo taste the mustard in the crisps and it's a proper nice English mustard taste, whenever you get mustard flavours in things it's the richer foreign mustard that they use but this one is perfect and brings the meaty flavour of the ham out wicked.
I will deffo go and get more of these crisps. They are GORGEOUS and have deffo started being one of my fave flavours already and I've only eaten 1 bag! The one thing I can't understand is how they can be handmade crisps, this is a big company now so they must do it all by machine or else they would have to have a kitchen the size of Scotland!!
Recommended.... delish and mega tasty, the mustard won't blow your head off either!!!
