“ Brand: Red Sky / Type: Crisps „
I've tried a lot of the Red Sky flavours but hadn't seen this green bag before, it's Sea Salt And Suffolk Cider Vinegar and I got this big bag for £1.00 in Spar because they was on special offer.
I love all the Red Sky crisps I've tried before but wasn't all that mad keen on this one because the flavour is too weak to be a real salt and vinegar flavour. I LOVE the texture of the crisps because they're madly thick and crunchy, they feel loads better than Kettle Chips to eat because they are usually too hard but these are just crispy and crunchy WITHOUT being hard.
The taste is weird, it's like they're ready salted flavour with a tiny few drops of vinegar added to the bag. The vinegar flavour isn't strong enough and on some of the crisps I couldn't taste it at all. When you do get a crisp that has got plenty of vinegar on it's got a nice sweet taste and that done my head in because it showed that these crisps would have been delish if they'd got the flavours right! lol
One thing I like about these crisps is that they're cooked well, most of the crisps are deffo a darker brown than most crisps and I reckon if you put a Walkers next to one of these Red Sky crisps then the Walkers crisp would look like it needed to get on the sunbed! lol I think this is what makes them so lovely and crunchy as well because they've been cooked for longer than other flavours, I'm not 100% on that by the way but it makes sense to me!
I don't recommend this flavour of Red Sky crisps, if you like ready salted you'll probably like them but when I buy a big bag of crisps like this I buy them for the flavour and to treat myself but these was waaaaaaaay too boring for me to enjoy properly. I can usually eat one of these big bags during a film especially if it's their West Country Bacon flavour but I put these back in the kitchen well before half the pack was gone because they got too boring after a few.
