“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Bread/Cakes „
We often have little snack Cakes in the house. Although little Swiss Rolls aren't that exciting to me, they are alright. I know these were cheap at 32p for the 6 pack, but being a budget brand then I thought they would have been cheaper than this. After all you can get a tin of Beans for 7p, so these little Cakes almost seem exensive. These are in a plastic tray with an outer wrapper. The wrapper is white and has the orange writing which the Basics range from Sainsbury's has. All these are are Chocolate flavoured Sponge Cake which has a Vanilla Cream running through the Sponge. It is in a spiral that this Cream runs and it is slightly thicker or more of it in the middle, and it spirals out the way. The Sponge is moist enough, but not overly moist. It seems a bit stale on the outside, but that could just be because it is a cheaper Cake. I would have liked more Cream in here, but I wasn't expecting that much anyway. These were alright, but I don't think I would have them again. You can get Cakes that are just as nice for the same price and I would say they are nicer and more flavoursome. Perhaps a budget buy too far.
