Advantages: Cheaper than Jacobs crackers, lower fat than standard Sainsburys crackers
Disadvantages: Quite crumbly with a lot of air pockets
I love crackers and do eat a lot of them, sometimes with cheese or marmite as a snack at home, but often when I get the munchies at work as I feel they are a healthier thing to snack on than sweets or crisps.
I bought these crackers for 2 main reasons- partly because they were cheaper than Jacobs crackers- I'm always looking to save the pennies; and secondly because they claim to have lower levels of fat- I'm quite conscious of the levels of fat and calories in things so these seemed ideal.
I really enjoyed eating these crackers. The flavour was different to the distinctive taste of a Jacobs cracker. They seemed less rich and they crumbled more easily. However the flavour and texture were perfectly enjoyable, all the better for knowing they were that little bit cheaper and healthier!
These crackers seem to have more air pockets in them than Jacobs crackers- perhaps this is part of why they contain less fat! In any case, once they are spread with marmite or cheese then they taste yummy, and they are also enjoyable on their own.
I will definitely be buying these crackers again. They cost me 37p, compared to Jacobs crackers which were 59p in my local Sainsburys for the same size pack, and the taste was different but just as enjoyable.
Definitely worth a try for anyone looking to save a few pennies or lookingto reduce the levels of fat in their diet.
Summary: Very tasty crackers, well worth a try
